CS4Hope

An initiative to make STEM Education Accessible around the World

Dear Friends and Supporters,

From childhood, I have always been curious about how things work. Mathematics taught me to look for patterns, computer science showed me how ideas could become something real, and technology opened my eyes to a world where a question, an idea, or even a few lines of code could grow into something far greater.

As I grew older, however, I began to understand something equally important: the opportunity to discover these interests is not available to everyone. There are incredibly curious and capable students around the world who may never have the resources, guidance, mentorship, or opportunities that allow that curiosity to grow.

That realization became the reason I created CS4Hope. I wanted to build a community where a student's background would never determine how far their curiosity could take them - a place where students could learn, explore, ask questions, meet mentors, discover new ideas, and, most importantly, begin believing in what they are capable of achieving.

Sometimes all it takes is one lesson, one mentor, one opportunity, or one person who believes in you to completely change the direction of your life. CS4Hope exists to help create more of those moments.

Through CS4Hope, we hope to make mathematics, computer science, artificial intelligence, engineering, and STEM education feel less like opportunities reserved for a few and more like possibilities open to anyone willing to learn. Through workshops, mentorship, educational resources, community programmes, and partnerships, we want students to experience the same excitement of discovering something they never knew they could do.

But CS4Hope was never meant to be only about teaching subjects. It is about people. It is about students helping students, mentors sharing what they have learned, volunteers giving their time, and communities coming together because they believe that knowledge becomes more meaningful when it is shared.

My greatest hope is that somewhere along this journey, a student attends one of our sessions, opens one of our resources, speaks with one of our mentors, or simply becomes part of this community, and discovers something that stays with them. Maybe it becomes a new interest, the confidence to attempt something difficult, a dream they had never considered before, or simply the belief that they belong in STEM too.

CS4Hope is still at the beginning of its story, and there is so much more we hope to build. But every student who learns with us, every volunteer who contributes, every mentor who shares their knowledge, and every person who supports this mission becomes part of that story. Thank you for believing in what we are trying to create and for helping us build a community where curiosity is encouraged, knowledge is shared, and opportunity can reach a little further.

With gratitude, Akashdeep Das Founder, CS4Hope

What our learners and community have to say.

The strongest measure of our work is the confidence, curiosity, and sense of possibility that learners carry forward after taking part in a CS4Hope session, course, or workshop.
